The beans we use in our blend sourced from Kenya are AA only and bought at auction throughout the year. This ensures the highest quality throughout the year.
Our Kenyan coffee beans add a distinct light body taste, full of complex floral, spice and fruity flavour.
This bean contributes the spicy vanilla and ripe apricot taste to the coffee, which gives a refreshing acidity and citrus after feel.
Kenya AA is the largest bean grown in Kenya, and brews up a complex, fruity, light, and very bright cup. This is an exquisite coffee with an assertive, lively personality.
Beans with a screen size of 17 or 18 (17/64 or 18/64 of an inch) are assigned the grade AA, generally the largest bean. While the large bean size is considered by many to be a sign of quality, it is important to note that it is only one of many factors in determining high quality coffee.
